World Financial Group offers life insurance, among other products and services, to clients through World Financial Group Insurance Agency of Canada Inc. (WFGIA) and WFG Securities, Inc. In addition, agents also provide clients with information about financial fundamentals so they can make sound decisions both now and in the future. These things combined, help ensure a client has a more sound financial future.

While WFGIA does not manufacture any insurance products itself, it does offer products through well-known insurance companies such as Equitable Life of Canada, ivari, BMO, Industrial Alliance, Canada Protection Plan and many others.

Please contact an agent in your area if you are interested in joining WFGIA and have not yet been contacted. You will need to sign an Associate Acknowledgement & Non-Disclosure Agreement, if you're not currently life licensed or an Agent Agreement if you already have an active life insurance license in your province of residency. You will pay a one-time, $130 fee that goes directly to the home office and is used for administrative costs such as running a background check and other items.

World Financial Group offers a variety of tools and resources that other companies may not. Additionally, we have a unique compensation and field advancement system that encourages people to grow in their careers.

New associates have nine months to earn their provincial life insurance licence. The company provides an onboarding platform with training videos and pre-licensing courses from Oliver's. Typically, most associates become licensed within three to four months.

Products are offered through several well-known companies, including: Equitable Life of Canada, ivari, BMO, iA Financial Group, Everest and Canada Protection Plan.

Through provincial departments of insurance, as well as federal regulations as they apply to life insurance. The home office also has a full compliance team responsible for monitoring agent behavior and ensuring best ethical practices are being followed by our agents at all times.

There are currently approximately 43,000 WFG insurance agents across North America, with about 12,000 agents located in Canada.

Tom Dempsey is the current President and CEO. Prior to accepting his current role with the organization, Dempsey served as managing director for wholesale distribution within Transamerica's individual and workplace markets. Dempsey has nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry and joined Transamerica in 2008. Rick Williams is the President of WFGIA in Canada, a role he took in 2006 after serving as Vice President of National Sales for Transamerica Life of Canada.
